There’s A Ghost In My Bed (poem)

There’s a ghost in my bed

He looks like you

He sounds like you

But he isn’t you

You’re gone

All I see is a shadow

A shadow of who you once were to me

And maybe I should let you go

As your hugs they feel like paper cuts

All over

And each word delicately dipped in poison you speak

Kills my heart a little more

Because you pretend that you’re still him

But you are the darkness left behind

You wrapped your arms around me

Wore a mask

I don’t know you anymore

There’s a ghost in my bed

He looks like you

He sounds like you

But he isn’t you

You’re gone
